I just purchased a MicRO 2 RO unit, and the manual says to run a rinse, soap wash, and rinse before processing your first sap in order to get all the Glycol out. But then I spoke with a salesman at Leader who said to run "a minimum of 3 wash/rinse cycles" before using. What say ye? While I sure don't want any glycol in my syrup, I also don't really feel like going through three complete wash/rinse cycles before using my new machine!!

Not sure the answer to your question, but I'm definitely curious how the "new" Leader Micro 2 works out for you this year. They made 48 units when I looked into them and had sold every one. They are taking names for next year. Couple specific question's for you as you get used to the unit. Is the low pressure cut-off for the feed pump confusing? Also, as you run wash/rinse cycles, is not having a temp cut off ever a problem.

I will check in with you in a month or so and see how it went???? Still trying to decide if I want this model next year.
