With the next 6 days all being above 35*F, i was planning on adding 50 more taps this weekend. Should I wait until next Friday to add so I don't have 50 taps dry and collecting bacteria? Or should I just tap this weekend?

I tapped on 2/10. I was able to collect and run the sap this past weekend. I kept the taps in the trees but I haven't checked the buckets since Sunday (2/20). I'm assuming that the buckets are probably full, but with this warm spell, I imagine that the sap will be spoiled. If I end up having to dump it- do I just rinse out the bucket and connect it again?

I tapped on 12/26/2016. Average 1 gallon per tree per day on all days below 32 nights and all above 39 days. Some of the early taps 12/26/2016 - 12/32/2017 are just now starting to clog.
See my other posts for details
PS I have extra sap if you want some.

I tapped on the 13th this month. It ran like crazy Saturday the 18th, with 70 gal. from 55 taps. Then it slowed down, had a small run Monday ~18 gal., with just 13 gal. more (plus another 3 that I dumped because it was cloudy) yesterday.
You are probably right about it being cloudy by now. I would clean your buckets if the sap has gone so far as to be slimy. Then the bacteria would be so prolific that they might taint future sap. Hopefully things will pick back up after this coming Saturday night!
