View Full Version : using a 3/16 connector on a long drop to gathering- how ristricting?
If my roll of 3/16 tubing comes up short I may need to extend it some by using a connector to some spare tubing on the long drop to my gathering tub. Does anyone have any insight/experience as to how restricting this may be? I would try to make the connection on the high side of the run hopefully in some sunlight! 21 trees will be on this long drop line.

It shouldn't be a problem at all. All of us have squirrel chews that we have to put in connectors to repair the line. I know my lines have enough.

I've put a few connectors in as well and there doesn't seem to be a problem. They're very strong too. I caught one of my lines with my UTV near a splice and the line broke but the connector didn't pull out.
Thanks guys for the quick response. I will be setting this line later today.
a splice isn't much different than a drop connector anyway.

Nothing wrong with connectors but if you can, just start a new line at a drop to avoid the extra connection.
