Belt tension

I have a gast pump on a gas engine with a pulley... just wondering best way to set up the idler wheel or any other ideas that will make changing the belt easier... pics would really help

Lovejoy tensioners work well for this. Google or YouTube search Lovejoy tensioner for application videos, pics,etc. You could most likely create something along this line also with an idler pulley on an arm and springs.
