Last year, a number of us added the latitude of our sugarbushes to our signature line. It's really useful to others when we start reporting sap flow updates. The more people who do it, the more benefit it produces.

I attempted, not a very GPS person but will learn. For others here is the website I used.

http://www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com/?lat=51.0378615&lon=-113.67934609999998&zoom=&map_type=ROADMAP#.WKMxIG8rKpo
Move the cursor to your location and copy and paste the coordinates.. So easy a hobby sugar maker can do it..lol

Hope this helps..

Tapped 120 now and the sap was really flowing yesterday. 3/16 was pulling 25 in of vac for my gauge. Don't really believe it, but still looks good. Good luck to all of the rest of you Michiganders!

I have the gauge above the top of the line or before the first tap. The line is about 200 ft long with about 12 taps and 30 -40 ft of drop..

What kind of gauge would you use? do you leave it attached like the end of line hook? Maybe I should look in other threads.

just a little guy with 34 taps. going to be a busy weekend. 85 gallons of sap currently, 4 1/2 gallons of 12% sweet, and 60 gallons to collect from the woods.
