I bought a new Honda motor, 5hp, last year. I can't remember the # off hand, but I need to come up with a elbow and a nipple to screw into the oil plug hole in order to facilitate draining the oil, to clear the vacuum tank that its sitting on. The problem is I believe the threads are metric and upon making a nipple the threads were too wide, went and bought a brass fine threaded nipple and they are too narrow. Anyone have any ideas? It obviously is somewhere in between. Where does one go to obtain such fittings? Or do they simply not exist?

I use a little hand pump to get the oil out though the filler hole.

Depends on the motor you have. The one I have has a 14mm drain plug.
Type your serial number in here http://peparts.honda.com/engines#/serial and then look for the drain plug on the cylinder barrel list.
For some models, Honda offers a drain valve to replace the drain plug. Stick some plastic tubing over the end and open the valve.

I did the same as nhmaple, bought it through northern tool. You are going to want the one with the 10mm port for the honda gx160 (5hp).
