I installed a duel line and need to lift the sap about 4 feet to get the sap high enough to run to the extractor and was thinking on a setup like this 15339 What do you all think, anyone ever attempt anything like this?
If the photo is too small to know whats going on: The dry line would intersect the wet line before it hits the 3 to 4 -1/2" pipe ladder, on the dry line I would have a whip style setup that would run straight to the extractor for vacuum transfer.

I haven't tried a set up like that but would like to know if it will work. When all of the mainlines fill with sap it will follow the path of least resistance. Is it going to go up the ladder or up the dry line? You won't know until you try it.

will not work. I tried this, the sap just backs up and then ties to lift in the dry line.

So then instead of joining the dry line to the wet line, only have the wet line run to the pipe lifter/ladder and the dry line run to the extractor keeping them separate?

your dry line needs to end at the lifter. you can't lift a dry line. I have a set up like Ogdens picture now. how many taps on bottom side of lifter?

I will have around 500 taps on the system.

not sure what size your line is, but 1" can handle 500 with out a dry line. if there is power available at the extractor maybe you could go with a pump there, or a submersible extractor to get it in your tank

I made it a wet/dry line setup since the land doesn't have much slope at all to it, ran into a lot of slugs last year with the single mainline. I currently have 3 different ladders installed at the moment with a mainline that is 3,000 feet long (the duel line runs 1,000 feet)

The nearest power is about a 1/4 to 1/2 a mile away from my extractor.
