Rigid or Semi Rigid

What should be the determining factor between rigid & semi-rigid 3/16 tubing?

I like semi rigid because it grips the trees well. This is what holds everything right and in the air. My opinion of course. Rigid is cheaper though.

I like the rigid for the lines and semi rigid for drops. I have not had any problems with the rigid gripping the trees and staying up.

I don't have much experience with either in 3/16 but in 5/16 I find that rigid doesn't grip the rope very well as all. I use hollow rope to tension lateral at the main line. I use semi rigid for everything
