New arch door build

Going to be replacing the 2 none isolated cast doors on my arch with a single steel isolated door, is 3/16 plate a good thickness to use?

That's plenty thick. Mines 18g with insulation and no problems.

I have a 1/4" thick steel door and I don't have any issues. however after the first year, I did insulate it to keep it a little cooler to stand in front of.
