You guys still having any luck with the sap running? We have about 50 taps, 25 buckets and 25 on gravity lines. And we only got a little yesterday. And today the few buckets I checked are fairly low as well. Are we done running already?

Still seems to be running pretty good here in Broome. I've collected about 60 gallons of 2% from 26 taps over the 2 and a half days.
I am considering pulling the plug after this run so I can get everything cleaned up, put away, and move on to getting my hit and miss engines out and ready for the upcoming shows this year.

Took quite a while for trees to thaw out from that 10 below the other night. They didn't open up until last night. We got about 1.5 gallons per tap last night into this morning. They've all been tapped since mid January.

Wow, you guys are doing much better then I am. Our buckets had maybe an inch in the bottom the last two days. Not even 30 gallons since the weekend. But you are right, it was very cold this weekend. Maybe being a little further north might take us longer to thaw out. That's what I'm going with. So Thursday should be a good run. Thanks for the updates guys.

Just checking to see if anybody else in Cortland is having any good runs? I can't be the only crazy backyard sugar guy in Cortland..... can I? We're all tapped, but not running very well yet.

Tapped last week in Tompkins and had a good first run. Sugar content was low at 1.4% but sap was clear and cold.
