I'm finishing up my RO install from the summer. It's a 4 post lappierre unit with 2 permeate flow meters. The posts are in series. Is there a preferred order in which to attach the posts? In other words, I'm thinking 1st and 2nd post to one flow meter and 3rd and 4th to the other. Is that correct? Thanks.

I'll offer my 2 cents worth. I don't think it really matters that much as long as you can measure the total permeate flow.......which you should be able to calculate by adding the flow from both meters together. Your proposed meter configuration would allow you to anticipate membrane cleanings (You will see the performance of the first two membranes drop off before you see any drop off in total performance as more of the load moves to the last membranes.) and maybe optimize the performance if you have any recirculation capabilities between the posts for example.

Thanks. I thought that would be the best but it's always good to hear a second opinion.
