I got a delaval 76 can't keep it running it will just trip breakers. It has a 3 HP motor on it that runs perfect by its self. I just took the pump apart and freed up all the veins and it seems to spin fine now. When you start it will run normal slow down speed up then trip the breaker. Any ideas

Are you flooding the pump with oil from a reclaimer? If so shut the flood oil off and try it again and see if it make a differance.

I've got a 30 amp breaker on it now but I've had 50 amp on it still tripped it
Is the motor and the pulleys original? Or have they been changed? Could be pulleys are wrong size. Did you just set the pump up ? If so, did you wire it correctly? Most motors can be wired for turning in two directions. Could be turning backwards, there should be an arrow cast into the pump telling you which direction it needs to turn.
It is also possible for there to be a problem with the motor. If it has a bad bearing it could run fine by itself but not when it has a load or side pressure.

Waim has an excellent point I had a motor that with any side load it growled to a halt and wouldn't turn. Now if it has a starter on it and it is bad they wont get up to speed and will surge and then quit

We had problems last year with ours and could not figure it out. It would kind of do the same thing yours is doing. Come to find out one of our capacitors was bad and was causing the problem. Installed new capacitors and worked liked a champ. Not sure if your motor has them or not but it might be something you want to check into.
