Posted this on SBI and now here

So I had the opportunity this weekend to sit in on the International Maple Syrup Institute (IMSI) on friday, and learned they are working on a slogan to promote maple.
This afternoon I was approached by Dave Chepeskie the executive director of the IMSI and was wondering if I had an outlet to promote and raise ideas of what the new slogan could be.
So I'm opening this up to you folks to possible come up with the new slogan that the IMSI would use to promote maple world wide!!! Here is our opportunity to come up with ideas and slogans (2-6 words) that would inspire, promote, provoke thought, or sum up what maple stands for.
No brain storms are bad here.
examples of promotional slogans are........."nothing runs like a deere"(John Deere), "got milk?, "a true driving machine"(BMW)
So what does maple mean to you????

I used to be an advertising copywriter back in the day. Let me fire up the ol' slogan-spinner and see what I can churn out.

Maple...sweet, natural, and it ain't bee spit (jking)

It's more like bee throw up. And it's a little easier to get.

Cause corn doesn't go on pancakes

Corn goes into the pancakes and the maple syrup goes on top.

I'd be careful about using the name "maple syrup" outside of maple country. I can't tell you the number of times I'll ask someone if they have real maple syrup and they almost always look at me funny and say "yes!". Then when it arrives and it's the other stuff and I ask about it, they say that it is real maple syrup. They just don't know.

So if the slogan says something about "maple syrup", people might just assume that they are talking about the fake stuff and not the real stuff. I love the idea, I just don't want to wind up with something that doesn't convey what we think it conveys.

That being said, perhaps something like "Pure Maple....from nature" or "Real Maple Syrup...not fake maple syrup"?

Really wish I could've seen the creative brief, it would have helped immensely...most of the ideas here are on the right track but hard to, pardon the pun, boil it down to the succinct message that is being sought.

Funny I never saw one of those signs hanging at an equipment dealer.

Corn goes into the pancakes and the maple syrup goes on top.
Good point Russ, my son's favorite pancakes are fluffy cornmeal, cause they suck up syrup at an alarming rate.

Can't take credit for it as it's the slogan for the Schoharie County Maple Festival, celebrate "The first and sweetest harvest of the year".
