Good Luck Brian. We have 6500 in about 2500 to go. Looks like you may have some production weather in the next week or so.

First boil in the books yesterday. Sap was running pretty good a few days ago by me in Oneonta but real sugar low content. Anyone have this too?

Good sugar content before yesterday, 54:1, yesterday 70:1.
1/3 of full crop so far.

We are a little north and west of you. We have been boiling 70+ to 1 since the beginning. We are a little under a third of a crop. Mostly dark.

We were down to 1% yesterday and today. No freeze for four nights. Hopefully the freeze tonight will reset the trees! We are 45 minutes south of you guys.

It was kind of weird running the vacuum pump during a thunderstorm yesterday.

Kick *** run for the past two days. tons of sap, little sleep, decent amount of syrup. chasing wind damage this afternoon between collecting and boiling. we are at 1/2 way mark today. very happy for March 1st. New arch is awesome. 60 - 75 gallons of syrup hr @15 % concentrate.

Snow storm last week was a SOB. 5 days of digging out main lines. Back to making syrup. We finished tapping today. 2/3 crop. Great syrup still. Great smell and flavor. Bouncing back and forth between Amber and Dark.

Finished up last night. Syrup went from very dark to amber by the end of the night. 31 gallons of sap per tap. I am short of the 1/2 gallon goal. I have not subtracted out the purchased sap out of the syrup total. I would say it was a good year. Not great. Low sugar was the problem. Nothing I could have done different to change that. I figure it was about 74:1.

Congrats Brian. Any season you can get over 30 gallons per tap is a good year for sure. I will be done today. Haven't done the total figures yet, but fromwhat little I've looked at them, looks like I'll be a little over 70:1.
