Currently building a home built RO. Planning to use center mount the low and high pressure gauges attached to a control panel on the front of the machine. I plan to tee off from the 1/2 lines, and run 1/4 lines up to the panel. Will this work? I am thinking it will have an air lock and not give accurate readings. What do you think? A lot of the home built RO/s place the gauges right at the tee, which would eliminate any air lock.
Thanks,
-Bill
A pressure gauge does not care if there is air or sap at the fitting on the black/bottom.

I thought the same thing when I built mine. Gauges work fine. Air somehow finds its way out

I recommend glycerin filled gauges as I've spent a few standard guages and replaced with filled and have no more problems.

I agree. They last longer with the vibration.
