Clean water or Semi-Trash Pump

I'm looking for a gas powered pump to move sap in the woods. Is a clean water pump ok? Or should it be a semi-trash for sap?

I use clean water pumps,i have 2 of them and 1 for a spare,bought them at tractor supply store
