Best thing to use is black water pipe 160 psi or higher. It is thicker walled and not only withstand pumping pressure, but less likely to get damaged by rocks when burying. Check out local plumbing supply places. If you have a way to handle it, you can buy that length in one roll on a big reel.

I agree with BAP. I have about 1600' of 1" buried for pumping. In 500' sections. I do get concerned about my buried connections. No way to tell if they are leaking. I would try to do one piece if doing it over. There is also a 1 1/4 vac line buried with it.

One way to check buried lines is to use pipefitters "Test Plugs" the kind that has the air fitting on them. They grip on the ID of the line. Close both ends and pressurize to about working pressure of the line then let it rest a few days and check pressure. you will see any leak. Jay
