Does everyone usually boil every last drop from the trees until they stop running or does it come a point where it is not worth it. I have been collecting everyday and burying the 15 gallon jugs in snow to keep cool. The boil I did last night produced almost a redish tint syrup. The sap collected today had a woody taste instead of the sugary taste. The trees are still dripping but it has been in the 50's during the day and 40's at night.

I'm planning on running the pumps till there isn't a drop coming out. Can't go any lower than commercial.
Sounds like you might be making some commercial syrup. May change if you get some freezing.
By the way, I just looked and I am the only clown on here. First time I notice that, I think it is bed time. Should be 3:32am. Parker must be just getting up.
