Hi everyone,
I'm looking at an 80 acre piece of land with a good layout/slope, good location, close to power, but with an average of 39 taps per acre. I did an average tap count by counting twenty 1/10 acre areas with pre-determined GPS coordinates throughout the property. Some small areas are in the 60-80 tap range, but large sections are more in the 30-40 range. Is it worth laying out pipeline in a large area (maybe 40 acres) with 30-40 taps per acre? The good news is that I would be able to bring all the sap to one location on the access road.
