Save yourself some time and call Clayton or Frank at MES. They have had great success with their Dolly units

I did look into that, but for less GPH and $600 more, I didn't think it was worth that much cash. Thank you though.

Does this mean you can buy an ro without auto shut off?

I don't have one from NextGen, but when I was at their factory picking up a new 150 gal SS head tank, I looked at their lineup of RO's. Wow, they look great, well designed, top quality components and superb workmanship, and priced right. I don't recall if there were any without auto shutoff. If I had needed a small RO (up to 200-250 GPH) I would have chosen one of theirs. I like my Ray Gingerich RO but their biggest was 200 GPH and it was compact and easy to move around. I think they had 3 models and one had an upgrade option.

I purchased their 200GPH model.....its called the 100STDRO. I will let you all know how it works, I am hopeful that it saves me a boat load of time and that it was worth the $2000 investment.

You got room for an extra person? That sounds like a pretty good trip to me.

I have been looking at their 200gph model also and have run some numbers and would appreciate if someone with RO experience can comment if I am close to the mark. They (Next Generation Maple) claim this unit will process 200 gph and remove 25-30% of water per pass. If I start with a 200 gallon tank of 2.5% sap and run the permeate off to a separate tank and let the concentrate dump back into my 200 gallon tank in 3 hours run time I should have about 85 gallons of concentrate left that is at about 6.0% brix? My evaporator will consistently do 15gph so I have just saved almost 8 hours of boiling time. What would have taken me 13.33 hours to boil (200 gallons /15gph) now takes me 5.67 hours to boil (85 gallons/15 gph). This is a time savings of 7.66 hours on a 200 gallon run of 2.5% sap. Comments/corrections are appreciated. Thanks, Clay

Most RO's remove 25-30% per pass of raw sap but if you recirculate or do multiple passes the % drops as the sugar rises so your numbers will go down over time. The amount it drops off will depend on several factors mainly pressure and membrane fouling. So your numbers I think would need to be adjusts.
