Fired up the new evaporator this weekend
It is a Thor 18x48, drop flue, with float box
it went really well
Ran it for 2 hours and boiled off 36 gallons of water
The float box worked really well, set it at 1.5 inches above the flues
ran it and it never wavered, even at 1.5 inches above the next day , so I am very happy with it
Now we just need sap!!! LOL

Nice looking unit. Nothing like boiling on a new Evaporator, even if it is water.

Take a gallon of syrup and dilute with 40 gallon of water and boil away!

Wow thats great. Now I cant wait. I ordered a new Hybrid 2x4 from Smokey Lake. Also building a new shack and making a nat gas fired arch. Lots of work before the next season, hope I will be ready. Looks like you are all set. Congrats on the new system !
