This past weekend I was getting my hard cider tested to see if I could save the 5 gallons which my daughter said tasted horrible and it turns out it'll be fine with adding some wine conditoner, phew. Oops not a brewing forum.

Anyhow I got talking and syrup came up and the guys were talking about how good aged syrup was. Hmmm, got me thinking. I found some very small charred white oak barrels for sale but basically haven't a clue on the process. Any thoughts ?

thinking about trying it myself. A quart of it here in vt is like 23.00.

Yup, I sell mine for $10 a 8 oz bottle and $20 per pint. Pints sell better because they are a fancier bottle.

I know of another who does it, but I'll let them post the price if they want it online.
