This winter I want to try to build a reverse osmosis machine. I been looking on the inter web and watching videos. But I don't know what membrane or pressure pump would work best. I'm at about 700 taps but like to add a couple hundred more. If the osmosis machine works well and help saves time I want to add vacuum. If anyone has any in sight please let me know.

Do a search in the reverse osmosis section and the homemade maple equipment section. There is a lot of info on here and pictures about what others have done.

I'm all for home built items but you might want to take a look at Next Gen Maple products, as well Maple Expert Solution(MES). The machines by next gen are an entry level hobby machine, I believe they are single membrane units with no recirculation on them. The MES machines in the dolly line are from 100 to 300 gph with recirculation pumps. Recirculation is key if you want to concentrate to a higher level in a single pass, and it keeps the membrane from fouling as fast. If you have a potential of 1000 taps with vacuum I think I would rather have a machine that comes with support if it quits during the season.
