2X the evaporator length right? So with a 2x8 evaporator you need16 ft of stack height in order to draft properly.
But what about when you add forced air into the firebox? Would seem to me draft would no longer be an issue?

Forced draft eliminates the stack height requirements because you move the air mechanically

Agreed. I saw Lapierre demonstrating the Force 5 with 1 length of stack to prove how clean it burns. The blowers create the draft so no need for the sky high stacks anymore! We get ours just above the peak of the roof and call it good.

Until the power goes out and then you;d better have a proper height chimney to avoid setting the roof on fire or filling the building with smoke.

That's what backup generators are for. Once the power goes out we're done boiling until we can run the RO again because I'm not a fan of boiling raw sap!
