Rebuilding Oberdorfer Gear Pump

I have a 1/2" Oberdorfer pump that has failed. I usually just buy a new one but has anyone had success with the rebuild kit they offer? It's $284 for a new through Dultmeier and CDL shows a repair kit in their catalog but no price....

I have put the kit in twice. I don't think they last as long as a new pump. But I have not kept track of run time.
