We tap all reds and I see a 3 - 4 day hot spell that may do it for us this year will have to see for sure but I think this may be our last week in ohio

Was frozen solid again Friday and Saturday. Sunday afternoon a nice steady flow started and I expect we'll be making syrup tonight or tomorrow. Have to go check the trees but they were running strong yesterday afternoon.

we are still running. have 125 gal made. talked to a producer in northern portage today with 4100 taps and they have made over 1000 gal

Talked to a longtime maple man today and he said when you hear the peepers at night its time to pull the taps. I see almost a week of warm weather starting thurs so I bet next week will be that time. Cool way to know though

pulled taps today as sap wont keep long and I cant boil every day nice year though!!!!~!
