Pan/Rail Overlap

Just getting started building my arch for my new Smoky Lake 2x4 Hybrid and I'm just wondering how much of the pan should be overlapping the side rail of the arch. I'm thinking 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Any thoughts?

Lyford, you are right exactly on the money. 25 to 25 1\2 max outside measurement. 26 1/4 is too wide. Don't ask.
This allows the sanitary clamp enough clearance to secure the float box to pan, and if you had 2 pans, would allow the sanitary clamp some clearance on the connector pipe.
