Call Jason at Leader and he will get you started. I am switching to natural gas but they use the same gun. You want to do that in the next few days before there sale ends. They sell the guns also. I just got 2 Carlin 601's for my 3X12. I have max flue pans and steam a way and they think I will need 2.3 to 2.5 million btu's a hour. If you just have a straight 3X8 my guess is that one 601 would do it. They are not cheap so be ready. Dale

I pretty much done with leader I taking my money elsewhere every sense the new management take over at leader they treat people like dirt if you not making 10000 gallons a year and spend a 100k a year with them they don't want to deal with you

That has not been my experience. I usually go thru a dealer I've dealt with for years and I get a response the same day. CDL and lapierre neither one wanted to talk natural gas said they didn't know much about it. Leader wants to come when I fire it up to see how it is doing.

I was looking at going with a 2.5x10 evaporator on nat gas. Leader recommended the Carlin 301 gas/propane burner. This maybe on the edge for a 3x8.. when I switched to gas on my 2x6 raided, they told me 720k btu.
I can check with my local leader dealer, as she has a btu conversion chart/formula.
What is the length of your flue pan?

Assuming a regular raused flue pan, you are looking to need 775k - 800k btu. The carlin 301 gas burner will work if you are using an arch made for oil.

There's a guy here in town that has a 3x8 oil that was converted to propane. Pretty sure leader built the burner. I heard it was $4k. I guess they had weld issues the first season. I can PM you his # if you want to ask him.

Ouch.... catalog price for a new Carlin 301 gas/propane (401k - 1100k btu) is $2425. You can also get conversion kits for regular oil guns to switch to gas. Dont know price on the kits.
The 3 torch tube style burners I have came out of a 3x8 and if I remember right $100 each.

They sell Carlin gas burners on eBay probably lot cheaper than that.
