Hi Folks,
Just a short note to let everyone know that I will be on Professional Development Leave from June 1 - September 15 in order to work on writing and editing several publications, including the new revision of the North American Maple Syrup Producers Manual. The idea behind taking such a leave is to focus strictly on one thing (like writing) without having to deal with normal duties.
What this means is that: I will not be in the office, not taking phone calls, not meeting with visitors or attending meetings, and not responding to most emails or PMs. If important questions arise, feel free to contact other staff/faculty at UVM PMRC during this time. If you do try to contact me....there is a pretty good chance I will ignore you. Please don't take it personally. While faculty members are eligible for a sabbatical every six years, this is my first such leave since joining the UVM faculty in 1991 (25 yrs), so I hope you understand if I don't respond.
Thanks,
