Getting ready for next season already.
Just added this lean-too on the side of my 8X12 sap house for wood storage.
Thanks to the help of my 25 year old son James.

Nice job. Now you have to get out and cut some wood to fill it.

Now only three more additions in the next 10 years and tripling the taps and more shiny stuff to buy then scratching the head trying to make the numbers look like they did when it was just plain fun.
Actually great looking sugar house.

looks great, is that shack on skids/blocks? Looking to build myself a shack and trying to decide between skids, pole barn style, or pouring a slab

Thanks for the nice complements.
And yes, I will be cutting lots of wood this summer to fill the wood storage area.
Hope to have it filled before labor day.

Sorry, didn't get back to you on your question.
The shack is built on two 4X6 hemlock skids. The skids sit on a 4" gravel base.
I built a 8X12 platform that rests on the skids using 2X6 hemlock and sheathed that with 1X10 ship lap to form the floor.
