Was going to order 2 of these pumps. They are cheap enough and simple. Little bit smaller then my shallow well pump in size. So it will fit better in my RO frame. It's not run off a pressure switch so it will run full speed at all times. ( I think). Any body see any problems with using this as a feed pump? Other then it being a cheap eBay pump.

Will work fine as a feed pump.

I did not buy this exact pump but bought a very similar one. Exact same model but made sure it was meant for drinking water. Works great. Pump puts out pressure of about 60 psi

There are a ton of pumps that are stainless but I made sure it was for potable/drinking water. Contacted the seller a couple times and he sent the specs. I have no idea what I did with them. But it's basically a sprinkler pump. TSC and Home Depot have the exact same ones.

I didn't read whether or not it can run dry without damage, like the Shurflow. It describes being used as a household pressure booster so that probably means it is fine as a "food grade" pump.

a shurflow is a diaphragm pump not a jet pump. Jet pumps aren't able to run dry. Your RO should never be running dry anyways. That's the reason for a low pressure switch. When feed runs out the pump shuts off. You want it set low enough that it shuts off before it runs dry. This pump will somewhat prime itself but works better with feed tank above the pump inlet.
