View Full Version : Roof Jack
Is there a more economical source for a stainless steel roof Jack than what the Maple suppliers charge? Also a good source for the stainless pipe? Looking for 8" pipe and a Jack for 7/12 peak mounted.

I have Amish made roof jacks about 20% of the cost of one from a maple company. I'm not sure what the best prices are for pipe, but I'm sure you can find it cheaper somewhere other than the maple companies. Some Amish do make pipe, but I have never priced it.
Thanks Jared, unfortunately we don't have any Amish around here.

I had a local Tin Smith Make My roof jacks and steam pipe. It was significantly cheaper. Myou Jacks are Galvanized but look great after 2 seasons. They would have made them out of stainless if I wanted to spend the extra money on the materials. I paid 75 for the 12" & 100 for the 18". I bought my stainless pipe through Smoky lake.

Find a local sheet metal guy (different than your local machinist). In Lebanon there is a guy named John Andress who does fantastic work, and is usually very cheap. He could whip off roof jacks with his eyes closed. There is probably someone closer to you that could do the same stuff (in stainless) for a fraction of the cost of a Leader roof jack. If you need contact info send me a PM.
Thank You for all the advice, I found one for a really good price.
