We're gonna need more info. Is this a new rig that you're considering, used? What kind of feedback are you looking for?

I have a 2 by 8 drop flue with a hood and preheater and I love it. I get between 45 and 50 gal an hour with it. With the RO I make 4 and a half to 5 gal an hour of syrup an hour.

I am just listing mine on classifieds to sell soon as I get some pics of it. It has steamaway, airtight inferno, full hood over syrup and flue pan, high pressure blower outside, air under fire, air over fire, light and window in steamaway which is all stainless welded and light in hood over syrup pan. Has roof jacks and stack covers for all 3 stacks. It will boil average about 90 gph with startup and shutdown and had days it average 95 gph with startup and shutdown. and have had hours it got 108 gph. It has extra new stainless base stack and extra section of steam stack and smoke stack. Concentrating to 12% it will make average of about 8 gallons syrup per hour or boiling raw sap, the steamaway saves a ton of wood. 2 days this spring I boiled 4,670 gallon of sap in those 2 days and only boiled 4 times in those 2 days for total of 9 hours of boiling time in 2 days. Will price it less than half the cost of the price new with everything on it.

Not sure if you are looking to buy new or not but I got a pretty competitive quote at leaders open house for a 2x8 max flue revolution with ss hood and preheater. Or it could be I've just finally come to terms with the cost of upgrading.

If it is pre-1993, it could be lead soldered.

Click on WESTVIGINIAMAPLE's name and select "view profile" then once in there, next to "visitor messages" on the top centerish part of the page click "classifieds".
It's just a fast way of finding this particular ad, but it's on the mapletrader classifieds, just have to wade back through all the double or quadruple posts.
It's a nice looking rig, by the way.

Don't think that is rust. That is what happens to stainless when it is subjected to lots of heat. Look at any stainless base stack on a rig that was boiling harder than a simmer.

That's funny. I think he knows what he has after owning it for over 10 years.

Yes stainless doesn't rust just discolors from heat and that is the case with mine.
