Is forced draft worth the extra wood burned? Aof seems logical. seems that with just auf you would be just raising stack temperature and becoming less efficient.

Evaporation will be much faster with auf. So will stack temp.

I put on an over sized fan on my auf and don't need anything else. Faster boil than on the smaller fan, don't need to brush down the pans before firing, and the added boiling rate seems to be more efficient than burning longer time at lower rate.
