I was wondering what fittings you guys have on your 8" membrane housing. I'm looking at buying an 8" vessel and seeing some with "victaulic" ports as an option. This is the first I've heard of these fittings.
I'm guessing the majority of the RO's just use threaded fittings?
Don't know where you are. I bought a housing from MES and they welded up vitalic to thread adapters while I waited at 9:00 for a pretty reasonable price.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I didn't think to ask MES if they would sell me just a housing. I was planning on getting my membrane from them anyway so I think I will ask what they'll sell me both for.
I'm waiting for some info on Victaulic to threaded adaptors, from the regional Victaulic rep. Our Waterloo Small & Seprotech both have Victaulic connections. Going to be doing some overhauling this summer & adaptors will make it easier.

Would you mind sharing what you find out when they get back to you?
So do most units this size have victaulic fittings and not threaded?

I think anything newer I've seen is pipe thread. Our machines are 15 & 25 years old, give or take. Do some Googling, Vic has lots of literature out there. If you can wade through it and sort out what you're looking at. I found possible useful components in their 'Publication 17.16'.

They then adapt to threads?
