I am thinking about getting a new membrane for my RO and I was looking at the MES membranes. So I am interested in finding out if anyone has replaced their old membrane with an MES membrane and if so how did the performance compare?

I see where they have a testimonial from someone about 11% on a single pass with an older 600GPH machine sounds pretty good to me and the prices seem pretty good as well. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am considering their membranes as well. I think the best thing is to just call them. Their membranes are fiberglass-bound and durable. I also think there's advantage with a membrane specifically designed and optimized for maple sap. I was happy with my DOW XLE 4040, but I think I could be happier with a MES or Dow E4 for maple sap. Higher brix in one pass is valuable to me.

I've used two MES 8" membranes for 1-1/2years. Very happy with them. I had PVD 1, before that Fluid systems and Osmonics. I've been ROing sap for 30 years! I recirculate my sap until 13% then boil. Performance is equal to or better than any of the ones I had before, the price is excellent and MES service is best of all!

I added one of his new pressure vessels this past year and 3 new membranes and was very happy. Clayton is the best to do business with.

I have a 1979 osmonics r/o and replaced 13 membranes so far this year what a difference it has made. I have a 3x8 oil fired evaporator and have made over 1000 gallons this spring. By far the best season ever for us by 50 %. If it was not for the r/o and mes membranes I would still be boiling down the 40000 + gallons. I deal with Frank great guy. He will help however he can.........

Frank is a great guy
When you have really big producers here buying MES products you know they are good. You won't see the big guys stand behind their product like Clayton does.

Great membrane, great price, and great customer service. Caribbean blue permeate even on the last run with cloudy sap. I'm stock piling for the future!

Were thinking of adding a second 8 inch membrane for next year, can anyone give me a ballpark figure on the price of the MES?

Says starting at 4100.00$ on their website, unlike other maple equipment company's they have a price list that's easy to obtain and presumably the same for everyone.
