The door to our heated RO room was left open last night. Temperatures got down to about 22 during the night and RO room temp was at 31 at around noon. What are the chances our membranes are trashed? Has anyone gotten away with something like this before?

The first winter I had mine I was heating the RO room with 2 bulbs of 100 watts each. I checked on it one day and 1 bulb had blown, my Hi/Lo recording thermometer said it had gotten down to 30. I immediately replaced the bulb and added a 3rd for safe measure. The membrane worked as well as before that next season. Must be it had not frozen at all or at least not enough to cause damage. I guess it may depend on how cold and how long it was near the lowest temp. When that happened to me, I ordered 2 more membranes just in case. I still have 2 spares, but I swap membranes every few years so I'm not sure which set got that cold now.

Most likely there was no damage done but check for sugar in the permeate when you use the RO again.
