I didn't see this posted and wanted to make sure folks were aware of this:

http://newportdispatch.com/2016/04/07/over-100-gallons-of-maple-syrup-stolen-in-craftsbury/

http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2016/04/100_gallons_of_vermont_maple_s.html

I feel bad for the couple losing their syrup and part of their income like that.

That sucks. I often think about how much it would hurt if someone stole the Bulk of my syrup like that. I ought to look at my insurance & see if I have coverage for that kind of thing.

What a shame, but it will end up somewhere...Craig's List, FeeBay. Thieves aren't normally too bright. Probably going to drugs.

That really sucks
If anyone has the time/know-how to organize it, what do people think about setting up a donation site/fund to help them out? As a member of sledmaine.com, there was a story of a young boy who had his snowmobile stolen and the site raised enough money for his parents to replace it. Just a thought.........I'd be willing to donate. I'm not good enough with computers to set it up but would be willing to help if I could.

They do this to the wrong farmer, they might end up as pig food! Hard enough to make ends meet with out dealing with thieves.
