I thought my wife found a true original recipe today from our local museum archives, but Google came up with very similar results, darn.
But, searching here at Maple Trader I didn't see it so maybe new recipe for us here.
Here is a link to the recipe if anyone wants to try this, I know I will for sure.

Has anyone made these ? If so, please let us know how they are.
When I make them I will post my results.

Sounds like a good use for some maple syrup. I may have to try this. Now I do not have a "can" of maple syrup but I think I can figure out what to use.
Also you can substitute the sugar with granulated maple sugar and truly make it about maple syrup.

Hi Terry
I will send you a recipe that we have been using in our family for many years.I need to get it at home. My Mom who is 96 makes us Dumplings at most off the holidays from a recipe she had used as a kid when she grew up in a small town in Canada. We have been maple syrup for 6 years now and she used to do it with her Dad. She comes to the Sugar Shack and while we are making syrup.

Since I am not a cook I am thinking this is made in a skillet on the stove top.

Thx for that Rjoly, going to try it for sure.
Today hoping sap will run, first day above freezing temps so maybe will run. Hope my kids enjoy dumplings.
My weather is kooky this week, freezing early this morning and temps will be getting hotter than the day before, each day for the rest of the week, season will be over for me by the weekend.
Its the final hurrah for me so hoping sap flows really good in the next few days, till Friday it looks like.
Thanks Terry and rjoly, looks like a great recipe to try

The dumplings are great. I have a very large family and it is a tradition that we have them on the holidays. In the recipe the picture is my Mom back on her dads Sugar house in Canada 75 years ago she is 96 now. She still comes out to the sugar shack with me and my 2 brothers and sister when we are making syrup.
