VT Maple Open Houses

Who is going to the open houses April 23rd? Which ones do you go to and does anyone go to the Vermont Maple Festival in St. Albans?

Don't miss LaPierre and H2O. They are both right there in Swanton. Lapierre usually has the best food.

^^^ +1 Lapiere usually has the best food. I will be up on the 23rd. Does anybody know if any sugarhouses are open during this? I would like to stop in and visit Brannon's and maybe Corey's maple.

I usually hit them all, I grab the guys that give me a hand all season and we head north. We go to Leader first as they are the farthest and then work our way back down through the other dealers. Stop out for lunch at any of them ,the food is pretty good anywhere . Leader does put on a big coffee and doughnut spread and try to make a couple of seminars. If anyone sees me with my Lakeview Maple hat on please say hello, its nice to put a face to the name from here.

instead of making a right in town to go to leader make a left at stop sign like a mile on the left, look for kyle cant miss him hehehe

want to attend a 3/16 show not sure if leader or some one else's

Both days at D&G 2:45 to 3:45 high vac on 3/16th . Check out there schedule they are having two seminars on 3/16th one on gravity and one on Vac, both days same schedule.

I'll be presenting at the Leader Evaporator Open House on Friday and Saturday mornings. Will likely try to hit all the others at least briefly in the afternoons.

Going to Leader on Friday the 22nd. Glen Goodrich is doing a talk on 3/16 tubing for gravity & high vacuum at 9:30 a.m. both days. Thinking about trying some next year. The buckets and I are getting old! Dr. Tim is on at 10:00 a.m. and if you are into confections, the Hill Boys from Shaver-Hill Farm will be on at 1 p.m. They have a very good presentation. I've attended their program for the last 3-4 years and learned something new every year. They will answer all the questions you can think of. If you go have a great time!

I'm looking for a few sugarhouses to visit while up to Swanton area for the dealer open houses on Friday Evening or anytime on Saturday. We love talking maple and seeing what and how other people do things.
