Here's a 3min video of an on/off timer gadget that might give your deep-woods vacuum pump batteries more time between recharges.

I have a 2nd section of woods where I may use this next year on only battery.
We've posted about thermostat switches which would also be critical for battery life. I plan to wire it like this:
14016
If you search EBay for "12V timer relay" and add a min price of $7, then you'll see them.
Here's the manual for more info: Timer Manual (https://www.dropbox.com/s/yu5jk3d41o6rlxe/Timer_Manual_2015_05_04.pdf?dl=0#)
If anyone has done an ON/OFF timer already, can you please share anything you've learned (your ON/OFF time settings, any battery life improvements, impact on vacuum, other timer devices, etc.)?
