We boiled a bit today for the first time, but no freezing weather most of this week, so can't expect any/much. Sheesh, super deep freeze last week and this week, way too mild, can't win I guess.

The best runs are on the trees closest to the swamp lands. The trees inside the bush are still asleep, I think. Hopfully this weekend will wake them up.

We boiled yesterday and today. Not a lot of sap since it's too warm and didn't freeze overnight. Only 2% sugar content. It has now dropped below zero and the weather forecast doesn't call for it to warm up again until the middle of next week. Mother Nature sure can be fickle!
