I thought all I had was reds at my deer camp, mainly because reds seem to be all anybody in the area reports having. But I just recently found some silvers and a freeman and a suspected sugar that I can't see the buds on. I'm really going to pay a lot more attention when they leaf out.

For sure. Its to hard for me to ID them this time of year. I will have to start a system with different color flagging tape this summer. Red flagging tied to the tree for red maples, white for sugar maples etc. Or maybe theres a better way.

I'm going to use colored flagging tape or make notes in my phone or something.
