I put up my 3/4 inch main line 3 years ago. Seem like every year I have to tighten it. Now I have no more room to tighten. I plan on putting a come along to hold the tubing and make some changes. The biggest one is the use of hooks into the tree. Is this a better system that running the wire around the tree protected but 1 inch wood. I have about 800 feet of 3/4 inch main line What size hooks would work ?

I like the hook in the end tree method ans use 3'8" clothesline hooks. I use a non maple for an end tree whenever possible.

I think I'm going with the hooks they look a lot nicer.
