Hi in the past I've always filter directly from draw odd through prefilters and cone filter. Then I correct density if needed and bottle it up. This year I have a Siro style filter press and need to know weather to filter, correct and bottle or correct , filter then bottle. If my syrup is heavy I don't see there to be a difference but if it's light and needs boiling to correct I would think it will need refilter. Jeff

You need to do 5 gallon batches in the Siro so I think it would be easier to draw off and correct density then filter. Watch the Siro video on Lapierre site.

That was my thinking too. I have about 9 gallons of super heavy syrup to filter so I will correct first and give it a maiden voyage. This is a copy of a Siro filter in a smaller scale so we will see how it works. Jeff
