Collected 775gal of sap and made 12gal(the last batch needed to get finished a little more so only 4gal) not bad or complaining with the way the year ended!this last batch is about the same color of the 2nd batch, So averaged 65:1 that what I have to deal with trees are buried in a very mature tall growth forest of tulip, oak, ash trees. Good luck to everyone still trying to get it done it's been a fun challenging year, tapped 1/31 done collecting 3/7 13749

Evaporator got put away today, and tomorrow I am starting to clean the lines. My total for the year is 9 gallons, 1 pint in the jugs, with a little bit "stolen" along the way (I love it hot on vanilla ice cream)! My ratio more like 80:1, but all I have tapped are red maples. My goal for this year was 10, and I would have made it except that I threw away maybe 100 gallons of sap due to age - If I had the RO going at the start of the season, I would have been able to get it all done...
All in all I am happy given the weird year! Already plans for scale up in 2017.
Does anyone out there want unused sap bags and homemade holders? - I have something like 50 holders I made, and maybe 75 to 100 bags. They are free to a good home, but you have to come pick them up.
Cheers to all
John

Such a pretty display of golden goodness. The tiles make a nice colour for your backdrop 5050. :) Make sure you keep kitty from knocking them over. lol
