Is it to late to tap a new area.

Hi folks,
I just got late permission to tap a property near me. Looks like it might freeze tonight and then maybe Sunday night. Might have a few runs left in it. What do you think. Maybe 50 taps total.

If you don't mind the work, go for it. Let's say you get 2 gallons of sap/tap, would that be worth it?

tap em! just tapped some new ones wensday that were never tapped....tested rite at 4%! never pass them up

As long as they are sugar maples and you have the time, tap them. If reds or silvers, you're likely too late, here anyways, my reds and silvers had buds open either Thursday or early yesterday.
