SAP in preheater drip pan

My back pan is boiling so hard it is boiling over into drip pan for my preheater I tried running SAP level in pan higher and lower still doing it does anyone have this problem too any ideas on how to fix it

How tall is the sides of your flue pan? Anything under 12 inches you will get syrup in your hoods drip channels. My copper 2x6 has 8 inch sides but my drip channels are 4 inches tall which make it tall enough so the syrup doesn't splash in. You can either make your drip channels taller or extend the sides of your flue pan.

I have 12 inch flues with 12 inch of pan above top of flues then drip pan is 4 inch above to of pan
