CV spouts

i have a question about the clear check valve spouts,can you use them to tap with tubing into a 5gal bucket or are they just for vacuum lines,i was not sure if sap would flow out of them or not, any info on this would be great thanks

You can use them but they will not help as much on gravity as under vacuum

Yes they will work but there is no reason to spend the extra money. Clear seasonal spouts without check valves are less expensive. The check valves are for use with vacuum to stop sap from flowing backwards into the tree when the vacuum is cut off. With gravity tubing into 5 gallons buckets gravity keeps the sap from moving backwards into the tree.
