Secondary burn?

I just watched a video that has a second blower hooked up to blow under the last 2 ft of the drop flue pan. Would this work to get a better burn on the gases under the flue pan. My 2x5 hybrid boils like CRAZY at the front of the drop flues but not a whole lot towards the back?

Mine was made with air shooting up like that. It would be great if they put some glass windows on the side so we could see what is going on under there!
